Local Attractions
Glenrowan township, located 15km south of Wangaratta, is the gatekeeper of the "Ned Kelly - the bushranger" history. It is the site of the final seige and capture of the Kelly Gang in 1880.
These days, the story of Ned Kelly and the times in which he lived are preserved in an array of wonderful attractions, museums and historic walks located around the town.
The town also offers accommodation in a variety of styles, wineries that have built a fine reputation for their produce, and the opportunity for plenty of memorable dining experiences.
